How does Aman Verify check a receipt?
It reads the receipt with on-device text recognition (or the bank QR), then cross-checks the amount, date, reference number and receiver. For banks that publish an online slip, it confirms the reference against the bank directly.
Which banks and wallets are supported?
Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), Bank of Abyssinia, Dashen Bank, telebirr, Coopay (Coop Bank) and Kaafi — with more added over time. A generic reader also handles other receipts.
Do I need to create an account?
Just sign in with your phone number in the app. A 7-day free trial starts automatically — no activation code required to begin.
How much does it cost after the trial?
3,000 ETB for 6 months or 5,000 ETB for 1 year. Your subscription is tied to your phone number, so it follows you if you reinstall.
Does it work offline?
Yes — scanning and the core checks run on your device. An internet connection is only used for online-slip confirmation and app updates.
